Hadoop - Not able to see the applications in jobhistory and cluster

Hi,

I have setup the hadoop properly and in JPS i am seeing the following processes


sri1@sri1-VirtualBox:/usr/local/hadoop$ jps
24208 Jps
21108 JobHistoryServer
16623 DataNode
16811 SecondaryNameNode
16988 ResourceManager
16505 NameNode
17111 NodeManager


But unfortunately i am not able to see the application history in job history
I am able to see the output.
sri1@sri1-VirtualBox:/usr/local/hadoop$ hadoop fs -ls /out2
Found 2 items
-rw-r--r-- 1 sri1 supergroup 0 2016-04-02...
