hadoop setup

Hi,

Can anyone help me set up the complete hadoop environment on my laptop with windows 8.1?
Please let me know what are the system requirements and what i need to download for the complete setup.
At the moment i have Oracle Vmware, downlaoded hadoop from hadoop.apache.org.
